Don Polly attended Interstate Technical Institute in Fort Wayne completing an Associates Degree in Environmental Technology. He then began working at JO Mory in various roles such as HVAC installer, commercial and industrial sheet metal installer, field supervisor and salesperson throughout his 13-year career. During this time, he also completed his journeyman’s license. Don decided to take on the challenge of building a new business and for the next seven years, he and a partner built Custom Assured Mechanical from the ground up. Don initially began his time at Impact Institute as the Maintenance Supervisor, but when the Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC program was revived, he decided to take the position of instructor. Each year the program has had steady growth and he enjoys the opportunity to work with students. Don has lived in the Kendallville Community since 1987. He has been married to his wife, Shelly, for over 33 years, together they have 2 children and 3 grandchildren.
