Certified Nurse's Assistant
The CNA program consists of classroom, laboratory, and clinical experiences. The student will be trained in providing basic care to patients who are in extended care facilities, hospitals, and home health agencies. Students completing the Classroom and Clinical portion of the program will be eligible to take the Indiana State Department of Health Exam to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Patient Access & Registration Professional
This compressive program will prepare students to handle patient encounters, patient customer service and other areas related to intake and the coordination of a patient’s healthcare experience. This program covers important background information on the healthcare profession including interpersonal skills, patient confidentiality, medical ethics and law, medical terminology, basics of insurance billing and coding, telephone techniques, scheduling appointments, and medical record management.
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
This program is designed to prepare students to function as professionals in multiple healthcare settings. Medical assistants with a clinical background perform various clinical tasks including assisting with administration of medications and minor procedures, performing an EKG electrocardiogram, obtaining laboratory specimens for testing, patient education and other related tasks. Job opportunities are prevalent with physician’s offices, clinics, chiropractic offices, hospitals and outpatient facilities.
Welding & AWS Certification
An advanced continuation of the basic welding process with an emphasis on the following welding techniques and terminology: ARC and MIG pre-heating for welding, Gas and TIG “mild steel fusion welding", Braze Welding-cold iron and mild steel “aluminum", and Skill Development for multi-pass plate, flat horizontal, tie plate, flat to horizontal to vertical, overhead, lap-weld, certification plate prep and weld.
CNC Machining (NIMS)
The CNC Program consists of both classroom and “hands on” CNC Training. The successful student can acquire a NIMS certification. The course is designed to provide the student with a basic understanding of nomenclature terminology, set-up, and operations as related to CNC Machining Centers. Additional related topics also covered will include tooling, cutter terminology, speeds, feeds, coolants, preset lengths, work holding methods and miscellaneous procedures. An emphasis will be placed on planning and safety.
Heating and Cooling Technician (HVAC)
An HVAC technician installs, maintains and repairs heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Once certified, students will have the skills to adjust system controls; assemble, position and mount cooling equipment; install auxiliary components; repair or replace defective equipment.
