Mike Prater grew up in Kendallville where a passion for motorcycles drove him to attend East Noble’s Automotive Technology program. Following graduation, Mike attended The University of Northwestern Ohio where he completed his education in automotive technology. Mike then returned to Northeast Indiana where he began his automotive career as an entry level technician in a local dealership. Mike became an ASE Master Technician, working his way to the position of shop foreman. He also enjoyed his time with the dealership’s racing team. In 1996, Mike joined Impact Institute’s team as an Instructor bringing his knowledge and skills to a newly formed Automotive Services Technology program. He continues to bring a high level of excitement and passion to help students grow and learn more about the automotive field.

While attending Garrett High School, Chris Seely began his career as an automotive service technician at Ben Davis Chevrolet. After graduation, he attended the University of Northwestern Ohio studying Automotive Repair and Business Management. Chris then worked in the industry where he broadened his knowledge and skills. Chris joined Impact Institute in 2017 and enjoys passing his knowledge onto the next generation of learners. He has a sense of pride watching Impact students on their journey to success.
